childrens parade/ Ela's birthday party/ 4th of July picnic! all wrapped up in one

We begin with the Childrens Parade..........

Luke managed to fall out the back while i was yelling at Ela for running into people... sorry monkey boy,....... (didn't seem to phase him!)
Miss Cosette!
Beaver, our baby contest winner (first place might I add)
Co and Ela having some donuts afterward. Woot Woot Provo Bakery!!!
Now to Ela's b-day party. Her actual birthday is the 4th, but with all that is going on that day we try to have it a couple of days before. Well this year it happened to be the only rainy cold day out of the entire weekend!

Luke and dad!,(luke looking like he is going to lose his life)

To end with the 4th of July,
No parade this year, I decided to run the freedom run, and was to dang tired to hike to a parade, and sit in the heat.
Daddy and Luke sleeping through the great party, daddy worked the graveyard shift and hadn't slept yet!

I love the fourth, I love being with family, i am horrible at taking pictures, and realize after the fact. But it was a very fun day,

Happy birthday Ela! Happy Birthday America!

Way To Go!

Wahoo! She did it! The leis are compliments of here polynisian cousins! Thank you Kaleb, Kolby, And Lana! She felt soooo cool!

Thanks to the oh so wonderful Miss Morgan!

the whole year of preschool was so great, And graduation was the way to top it all off!

the balloon release made Ela a little nervous, she hates to see a good balloon go, But she made a wish and it was all better.

and I learned that Ela knows the pledge of allegence by heart, everytime she sees a flag she insists we stop put our hands over our hearts and she recites it for all to here!

Thanks again Miss Morgan, she will miss your very much!

Never say Never!

Quick little comment, I always vowed I would never let my son leave the house with his hair looking like he just got out of bed......... Well today i broke that vow! I was in a hurry to get Ela ready for the preschool, and he kind of got lost in the madness. He is dressed and feed, with a clean face........... but with the hair looking they way that it does all the rest goes down the drain. Sorry Luke Today will just be a bad hair day!

In honor of you! to all the mothers that read my blog! (all 4 of you)

To My Child.
Just for this morning, I am going to smile when I see your face and laugh when I feel like crying.
Just for this morning, I will let you choose what you want to wear, and smile and say how perfect it is.
Just for this morning, I will leave the dishes in the sink, and let you teach me how to put that puzzle of yours together.
Just for this afternoon, I will unplug the telephone and shut the computer off, and sit with you in the backyard and blow bubbles.
Just for this afternoon, I will not yell once, not even a tiny grumble when you scream and whine for the ice cream truck, and I will buy you one if he comes by.
Just for this afternoon, I won't worry about what you are going to be when you grow up, or second guess every decsion made where you are concerned.
Just for this afternoon, I will let you help me bake cookies, and I won't stand beside you trying to fix them.
Just for this afternoon, I will take you to Mcdonalds and buy us both a happy meal so you can have both toys.
Just for this evening, I will hold you in my arms and tell you a story about how you were born and how much I love you.
Just for this evening, I will let you splash in the tub and not get angry.
Just for this evening, I will let you stay up late while we sit on the porch and count all the stars.
Just for this evening, I will snuggle beside you for hours, and miss favorite T.V. shows.
Just for this evening, when I run my fingers through your hair as you pray, I will simply be grateful that Heavenly Father has given me the greatest gift ever given.
I will pray for mothers and fathers who are searching for missing children, and mothers and fathers who are visiting graves instead of bedrooms, and mothers and fathers in hospital rooms watching there children suffer senselessly, and screaming inside that they can't handle it anymore. And when I kiss you goodnight I will hold you a little tighter, a little longer, it is then that I will Thank Heavenly Father and ask him for nothing, except one more day......
Happy Mothers Day to you All!

oh what a week

It has just been one of those weeks where Nothing goes your way! We have all had them, Hopefully this one will slide past without anymore casualties(not literally)! Ahahahahahahaha. All i can do is try to laugh about it. cause in weeks from now it will all be really funny! ;) What else can you do but take what is thrown at you, and make the most out of it! that is what we are here for right!

On a more postitive note, Miss Ela will be graduating from her Oh so fabulous preschool on May 20th! Oh how sad she will be when she realizes what that means. We love you Miss Morgan!
